Northeast Raiders (Macon, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 60-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Northeast improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Raiders host Jones County (Gray, GA) to confront the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Jones County won 65-45 in their recent league challenge against Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA)

Next up, the Hurricanes confront the Westside Seminoles (Macon, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Rutland will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Seminoles come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 76-52 league win over Perry (Perry, GA).
