Illinois High School Basketball - Sycamore can't hold off Ottawa

The Ottawa Pirates basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Sycamore Spartans to 45 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Princeton for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Ottawa will meet a Tigers team coming off a 81-46 league win over St. Bede (Peru, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 21-0.
With the defeat, Sycamore moves to 8-14 on the year. The Spartans host Dixon (Dixon, IL) to meet the Dukes & Duchesses in a non-league match on Monday, January 23. The Dukes & Duchesses enter the match with a record of 14-8. Dixon lost 61-58 in their recent league match against Lutheran (Rockford, IL)
