The Seaholm Maples (Birmingham, MI) basketball nipped the host Oxford Wildcats (Oxford, MI), 54-51 in Friday's league test.

The Maples (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Black Hawks go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Bloomfield Hills got by Lake Orion (Lake Orion, MI), 56-55, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Imlay City for a non-league test on Monday, January 23. Oxford will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 61-35 league win over North Branch (North Branch, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 5-5.
