Texas High School Basketball - Pittsburg overwhelmed by Pleasant Grove

The Pleasant Grove Hawks basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Pittsburg Pirates to 30 in the Hawks league victory on Friday.
The Hawks now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sulphur Springs for a 4A Region II District 15 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Pleasant Grove will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 50-28 league win over North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 21-7.
The Pirates (6-18) will now prepare for their contest against Paris (Paris, TX). The Wildcats come into the 4A Region II District 15 contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Paris was routed by Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX), 60-53, in a league contest.
