Powder River County Hawks (Broadus, MT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Wibaux Longhorns (Wibaux, MT), 72-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Powder River County upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Hawks host Carter County (Ekalaka, MT) to play the Bulldogs in a C District 4 bout on Saturday, January 21. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-6. Carter County lost 72-52 in their recent league bout against Terry (Terry, MT)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Plevna Cougars (Plevna, MT) in a C District 4 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Wibaux will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 56-48 league loss to Terry (Terry, MT).
