Texas High School Basketball - Quanah tipped by Wheeler

The Wheeler Mustangs basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Quanah Indians to 50 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clarendon for a 2A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Wheeler will meet a Broncos team coming off a 62-44 league win over Wellington (Wellington, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 7-6.

The Indians (16-12) will now prepare for their contest against Memphis (Memphis, TX). The Cyclones enter the 2A Region I District 2 contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, Memphis was nudged by Shamrock (Shamrock, TX), 56-43, in a league contest.
