The Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX), 60-51 in Friday's league test.
The Roughnecks (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Post (Post, TX). The Antelopes go into the 2A Region I District 5 test with a 1-23 record. In their last test, Post went down by New Home (New Home, TX), 82-26, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Seagraves for a 2A Region I District 5 test on Wednesday, January 25. Ropes will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 52-46 league loss to Plains (Plains, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 15-10.
