The Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) basketball felled the visiting Watertown Purple Tigers (Watertown, TN), 49-33 in Friday's league test.
The Owls (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Livingston Academy (Livingston, TN). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 15-2 record. In their last test, Livingston Academy was beaten by Creek Wood (Charlotte, TN), 56-53, in a non-league test.
The Purple Tigers now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Cascade for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Watertown will encounter a Champions squad coming off a 71-50 non-league win over Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN). The Champions record now stands at 17-4.
