Stringtown Tigers (Stringtown, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wetumka Chieftains (Wetumka, OK), 88-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Stringtown upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mill Creek (Mill Creek, OK) to play the Bullfrogs in a Big 5 bout on Monday, January 30. The Bullfrogs come into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Chieftains play the Earlsboro Wildcats (Earlsboro, OK) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Wetumka will attempt to upgrade on its 15-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 63-52 non-league win over Maud (Maud, OK).
