The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Western Plains/Healy to 32 in the Thunderhawks league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderhawks now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oakley for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Wheatland-Grinnell will battle a Plainsmen team coming off a 52-37 non-league loss to Hoxie (Hoxie, KS). The Plainsmen record now stands at 6-7.

The (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Dighton (Dighton, KS). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 7-5 record.
