Texas High School Basketball - Abernathy overwhelmed by Idalou

The Idalou Wildcats basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Abernathy Antelopes to 25 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 18-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Childress for a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Idalou will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 42-25 league win over Shallowater (Shallowater, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 15-5.

The Antelopes (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Tigers come into the 3A Region I District 2 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Slaton was routed by Idalou (Idalou, TX), 75-36, in a league contest.
