The Albemarle Patriots basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights to 58 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fluvanna County for a Jefferson contest on Tuesday, January 24. Albemarle will battle a Flying Flucos team coming off a 57-45 league win over Orange County (Orange, VA). The Flying Flucos record now stands at 11-4.

The Black Knights (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Jefferson contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Goochland was defeated by Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 67-2, in a league contest.
