North Linn Lynx (Troy Mills, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA), 63-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Linn upgrades its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Central City (Central City, IA) to play the Wildcats in a Tri-Rivers - West bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-15. Central City lost 79-48 in their recent league bout against Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Alburnett will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Braves come into the battle with a 13-1 record after their 49-41 league win over Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA).
