Texas High School Basketball - Carlisle can't hold off Alto

The Alto Yellowjackets basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Carlisle Indians to 35 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Summerfield for a 2A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Alto will battle a Hornets team coming off a 65-12 league loss to Douglass (Douglass, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 1-10.

The Indians (5-18) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX). The Wildcats enter the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Mt. Enterprise was nudged by Cushing (Cushing, TX), 40-33, in a league contest.
