Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots (Kinston, NC), 63-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Wayne Country Day upgrades its record to 18-1 on the season. The Chargers host Epiphany (New Bern, NC) to clash with the Falcons in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Epiphany lost 76-43 in their recent league bout against Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Arendell Parrott Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 76-43 league win over Epiphany (New Bern, NC).
