The Pelion Panthers (Pelion, SC) basketball knocked off the visiting Batesburg-Leesville Panthers (Batesburg, SC), 55-46 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC). The Bulldogs go into the AA Region 3 test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Silver Bluff notched a victory over Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC), 48-19, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to North for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 25. Batesburg-Leesville will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 53-49 league loss to Williston-Elko (Williston, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-11.
