The Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), 49-30 in Friday's league test.
The Hornets (9-10) will now prepare for their test against Grants (Grants, NM). The Pirates go into the 4A District 5 test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Grants went down by St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM), 53-39, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Grants for a 4A District 5 test on Friday, January 27.
