The Boerne-Champion Chargers basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Veterans Memorial Patriots to 36 in the Chargers league victory on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 23-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canyon for a 5A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Boerne-Champion will battle a Cougars team coming off a 44-37 league loss to Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 8-18.

The Patriots (2-19) will now prepare for their contest against Pieper (San Antonio, TX). The Warriors come into the 5A Region IV District 26 contest with a 16-15 record. In their last contest, Pieper was routed by Wagner (San Antonio, TX), 62-33, in a league contest.
