Texas High School Basketball - Booker topped by West Texas

The West Texas Comanches basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Booker Kiowas to 23 in the Comanches league victory on Friday.
The Comanches now sport a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gruver for a 2A Region I District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 24. West Texas will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 80-23 league win over Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX). The Greyhounds record now stands at 13-0.
The Kiowas (6-17) will now prepare for their contest against Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region I District 1 contest with a 15-11 record. In their last contest, Sunray prevailed over Stratford (Stratford, TX), 46-43, in a league contest.
