In Friday's league match, the visiting Detroit Eagles basketball team scored a decisive 55-30 triumph over the Bowie Pirates.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX) in a 2A Region II District 16 match, on Tuesday, January 24. Detroit will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 16-10 record after their 47-44 league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, TX).
With the defeat, Bowie moves to 6-12 on the year. The Pirates host Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Region II District 16 match on Tuesday, January 24. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 5-15. Harts Bluff lost 29-23 in their recent league match against Maud (Maud, TX)
