The Box Elder Bears (Box Elder, MT) basketball nipped the visiting Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks (Chester, MT), 55-54 in Friday's league test.
The Bears (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Chinook (Chinook, MT). The Beeters go into the C District 9 test with a 10-0 record. In their last test, Chinook got by Big Sandy (Big Sandy, MT), 71-40, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Turner for a C District 9 test on Saturday, January 21. Chester-Joplin-Inverness will encounter a Tornadoes squad coming off a 50-28 league loss to Fort Benton (Fort Benton, MT). The Tornadoes record now stands at 0-10.
