The Smithsburg Leopards basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Brunswick Railroaders to 35 in the Leopards league victory on Friday.

The Leopards now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Catoctin for a Central Maryland contest on Tuesday, January 24. Smithsburg will battle a Cougars team coming off a 53-36 non-league win over Middletown (Middletown, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 10-3.

The Railroaders (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Walkersville (Walkersville, MD). The Lions come into the Central Maryland contest with a 8-6 record. In their last bout, Walkersville was knocked off by Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD), 48-36, in a non-league bout.
