The Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY) basketball nipped the host Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY), 25-21 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record.

The Wildcats now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe County for a non-league test on Saturday, January 21. Edmonson County will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 42-37 non-league win over Glasgow (Glasgow, KY). The Falcons record now stands at 10-6.
