Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA), 74-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Davis County upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Mustangs host Clarke (Osceola, IA) to play the Indians in a South Central bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Clarke lost 65-53 in their recent league bout against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA)

Next up, the Comets play the Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Cardinal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 46-24 league loss to Highland (Riverside, IA).
