Overton Bobcats (Nashville, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Centennial Cougars (Franklin, TN), 45-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Overton upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Franklin (Franklin, TN) to play the Admirals in a 4A District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Admirals come into the bout with a record of 3-16. Franklin lost 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against Independence (Thompson's Station, TN)

Next up, the Cougars play the Hillsboro Burros (Nashville, TN) in a 4A District 11 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Burros come into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 46-44 league win over Brentwood (Brentwood, TN).
