Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) and the visiting Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA), saw Chatham's basketball squad overcome Dan River by a tally of 42-25.

With the victory, Chatham improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Nelson County (Lovingston, VA) to confront the Governors in a Dogwood challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Governors come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Nelson County won 65-34 in their recent league challenge against Altavista (Altavista, VA)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Dan River will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 55-39 league win over Gretna (Gretna, VA).
