East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), 53-20 in a league bout.

With the win, East Rowan upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Mustangs host Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to play the Trojans in a 3A Conference 48 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Northwest Cabarrus won 67-24 in their recent league bout against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)

Next up, the Spiders play the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) in a 3A Conference 48 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Concord will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 52-50 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
