Georgia High School Basketball - South Paulding topped by Douglas County

The Douglas County Tigers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting South Paulding Spartans to 35 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newnan for a AAAAAA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Douglas County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 64-10 league loss to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-16.

The Spartans (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Panthers come into the AAAAAA Region 5 contest with a 15-4 record. In their last contest, Langston Hughes prevailed over East Paulding (Dallas, GA), 78-26, in a league contest.
