The East Lake Eagles basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Palm Harbor University Hurricanes to 33 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mitchell for a non-league contest on Monday, January 23. East Lake will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 63-38 league loss to Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-11.
The Hurricanes (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, FL). The Green Devils enter the non-league contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, St. Petersburg triumphed over Hollins (St. Petersburg, FL), 70-12, in a non-league contest.
