Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) and the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), saw Eastern Montgomery's basketball squad wallop James River by a tally of 61-37.

With the victory, Eastern Montgomery improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Narrows (Narrows, VA) to confront the Green Waves in a Pioneer challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Green Waves come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Narrows lost 41-28 in their recent league challenge against Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA)

Next up, the Knights confront the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. James River will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record.
