Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waseca upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Bluejays travel to St. Peter (St. Peter, MN) to clash with the Saints in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 6-6. St. Peter won 72-51 in their recent league bout against New Ulm (New Ulm, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman Jaguars (Granada, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Fairmont will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 59-54 league win over Cleveland (Cleveland, MN).
