In Friday's league outing, the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), by a margin of 71-20.
The Colonels (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings go into the Blue Ridge outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, Northside was trounced by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 42-30, in a league outing.
The Terriers now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge outing on Tuesday, January 24. William Byrd will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 68-17 league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-5.
