With the win, Gonzales upgrades its record to 6-10 on the season. The Apaches host La Vernia (La Vernia, TX) to clash with the Bears in a 4A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 18-9. La Vernia won 71-18 in their recent league bout against Fox Tech (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Buffaloes clash with the Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 28 game, on Tuesday, January 24. Fox Tech will attempt to move on its 8-18 season record. The Gobblers enter the game with a 15-12 record after their 59-30 league win over Young Women's Leadership Academy (San Antonio, TX).
