North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA), 75-41 in a league bout.

With the win, North Polk upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Comets travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 14-1. Solon won 59-23 in their recent non-league bout against Independence (Independence, IA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record.
