Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA), 38-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Model upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Blue Devils host Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA) to play the Rebels in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Fannin County lost 77-51 in their recent non-league bout against Elbert County (Elberton, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA) in a AA Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Haralson County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 58-23 league loss to Murray County (Chatsworth, GA).
