With the victory, Ripley improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to confront the Cougars in a 4A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. South Pontotoc won 34-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Walnut (Walnut, MS)

Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 4A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Houston will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 20-1 record after their 56-31 league win over North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS).
