Iowa High School Basketball - Newton ripped by Indianola

The Indianola Indians basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Newton Cardinals to 28 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clear Creek-Amana for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Indianola will meet a Clippers team coming off a 75-14 league win over South Tama County (Tama, IA). The Clippers record now stands at 9-2.

The Cardinals (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA). The Mustangs enter the Little Hawkeye contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Dallas Center-Grimes triumphed over Grinnell (Grinnell, IA), 69-40, in a league contest.
