John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Parish Episcopal Panthers (Dallas, TX), 54-34 in a league bout.

With the win, John Paul II upgrades its record to 22-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Ursuline Academy (Dallas, TX) to clash with the Bears in a TAPPS 6A District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 11-13. Ursuline Academy lost 83-61 in their recent league bout against Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Trinity Christian Trojans (Addison, TX) in a TAPPS 6A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Parish Episcopal will attempt to move on its 18-7 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 8-16 record after their 43-28 non-league loss to Southwest Christian School (Fort Worth, TX).
