Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Kettering Captains (Waterford, MI), 43-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Walled Lake Northern upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Knights host Lakeland (White Lake, MI) to play the Eagles in a Lakes Valley bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Lakeland lost 48-28 in their recent non-league bout against Mercy (Farmington Hills, MI)

Next up, the Captains play the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Kettering will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 50-40 league win over Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI).
