The Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen] Pirates (Steele, ND) basketball nipped the visiting Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions (Linton, ND), 37-30 in Friday's league test.

The Pirates (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] (Belfield, ND). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] was tipped by Trinity (Dickinson, ND), 38-35, in a league test.
