Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL), 57-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lamar County upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hamilton (Hamilton, AL) to play the Aggies in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Aggies come into the bout with a record of 19-4. Hamilton won 44-10 in their recent non-league bout against Winfield (Winfield, AL)

Next up, the Stallions play the Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL) in a 1A Area 9 bout, on Saturday, January 21. South Lamar will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Tornadoes come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 49-25 league loss to South Lamar (Millport, AL).
