Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton River ripped by Lord Botetourt

The Lord Botetourt Cavaliers basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles to 17 in the Cavaliers league triumph on Friday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host William Byrd for a Blue Ridge contest on Tuesday, January 24. Lord Botetourt will battle a Terriers team coming off a 71-20 league loss to Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Terriers record now stands at 1-15.
The Golden Eagles (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles enter the Blue Ridge contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Franklin County triumphed over Northside (Roanoke, VA), 42-30, in a league contest.
