With the victory, Manvel upgrades its record to 23-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Texas City (Texas City, TX) to play the Stingarees in a 5A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Stingarees come into the bout with a record of 10-16. Texas City lost 54-45 in their recent league bout against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the La Porte Bulldogs (La Porte, TX) in a 5A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Santa Fe will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 21-8 record after their 51-50 league win over Friendswood (Friendswood, TX).
