Washington High School Basketball - Medical Lake trounces Newport

The Medical Lake Cardinals (Medical Lake, WA) basketball crushed the visiting Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), 62-26 in Friday's league test.
The Cardinals (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Riverside (Chattaroy, WA). The Rams go into the 1A Northeast test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Riverside was trounced by Colville (Colville, WA), 64-21, in a league test.
The Grizzlies now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Lakeside for a 1A Northeast test on Saturday, January 21. Newport will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 51-49 league loss to Freeman (Rockford, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.
