The Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX), 40-34 in Friday's league test.
The Tigers (27-0) will now prepare for their test against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region II District 15 test with a 11-17 record. In their last test, Whitehouse got by Marshall (Marshall, TX), 59-52, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 21-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hallsville for a 5A Region II District 15 test on Tuesday, January 24. Tyler will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 39-34 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-21.
