North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (Little River, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Myrtle Beach Seahawks (Myrtle Beach, SC), 39-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Myrtle Beach upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Wilson (Florence, SC) to play the Tigers in a AAAA Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 11-6.

Next up, the Seahawks play the West Florence Knights (Florence, SC) in a AAAA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Myrtle Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 59-8 league loss to South Florence (Florence, SC).
