Minnesota High School Basketball - Tartan can't hold off North

The North Polars basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Tartan Titans to 51 in the Polars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Polars now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host South St. Paul for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. North will battle a Packers team coming off a 52-42 league loss to Simley (Inver Grove Heights, MN). The Packers record now stands at 5-11.
The Titans (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia Heights (Columbia Heights, MN). The Hylanders enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Columbia Heights was nudged by St. Agnes (St. Paul, MN), 49-45, in a league contest.
