Texas High School Basketball - Ropes ripped by Sundown

The Sundown Roughnecks basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Ropes Eagles to 36 in the Roughnecks league triumph on Friday.

The Roughnecks now sport a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Post for a 2A Region I District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Sundown will meet a Antelopes team coming off a 78-7 league loss to New Home (New Home, TX). The Antelopes record now stands at 0-21.

The Eagles (22-5) will now prepare for their contest against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A Region I District 5 contest with a 2-15 record. In their last contest, Seagraves was routed by Plains (Plains, TX), 46-27, in a league contest.
