Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) and the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), saw South Johnston's basketball squad wallop Smithfield-Selma by a tally of 48-11.

With the victory, South Johnston improves its record to 3-12 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Fike (Wilson, NC) to confront the Demons in a 3A Conference 21 challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Demons come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Fike won 74-43 in their recent league challenge against West Johnston (Benson, NC)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) in a 3A Conference 21 challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Smithfield-Selma will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 64-45 league win over C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC).
