Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND) and the visiting Surrey Mustangs (Surrey, ND), saw South Prairie/Max's basketball squad wallop Surrey by a tally of 54-25.

With the victory, South Prairie/Max improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The travel to Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND) to confront the Mavericks in a B Region 6 District 12 challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the South Prairie Royals (Minot, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Surrey will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
